Your Climate Stories: Lasha Halsey Takes to the Farm
This is part of a regular series on Planet Change called “Your Climate Stories,” where we share reader stories about changes that they’re seeing and actions that they’re taking in their daily lives to help reduce carbon pollution and respond to the impacts of our changing planet.
If you have a climate story, please send it, along with any of your photos and videos, to us here.

Location: Beaufort, SC
At the end of August 2011, I packed up and headed to Ecuador for 3 months. In an effort to spread awareness about living a conscious life, and being connected with others and our planet, I volunteered my time on an organic farm in a sustainable community. I learned biodynamic farming methods and shared my life with 26 other volunteers from all over the world. I share my experiences and knowledge through my website www.trektoconnect.com.
The whole Earth is our home and we have a responsibility to care for it. I want people to know that each one of us makes a difference in the way that we produce our food and use our resources. It is my hope to inspire people to care about our planet.
